HCI One is coming!
HCI One. Your practice, our software
With HCI One, we're building a single, powerful platform for all paramedical care providers. From physiotherapists and exercise therapists to speech therapists, occupational therapists, and dietitians. A system that grows with your practice, adapts to new technologies, and reduces administrative burden.
The platform supports both independent professionals and multidisciplinary practices and chains. Everyone works in the same user-friendly environment, with room for specific functionalities per discipline or area of expertise.
Our goal: software that works for healthcare providers. Simple, reliable, and future-proof.
Important to know
- for now nothing will change in your daily work
- you continue to work with SpotOnMedics as you are used to
- You decide when you want to start working with HCI One
1. What is HCI One?
HCI One is more than just an EHR. It's HCI's new, multidisciplinary platform for paramedics. It combines the power and experience of all our existing EHRs (such as SpotOnMedics, Incura, FysioRoadmap, Evry, Podofile and more) together in one future-oriented platform.
HCI One is designed to simplify the work of paramedical care providers: less administration, more overview and more time for the patient.
2. Who is HCI One for?
HCI One is designed for all paramedical care providers: from physiotherapists and exercise therapists to speech therapists, occupational therapists, and dietitians. The platform supports both independent practitioners and multidisciplinary practices and chains.
Everyone works in the same user-friendly environment, with room for specific functionalities per discipline or field.
3. Who or what is HCI?
HCI is a Dutch software company specializing in healthcare solutions. SpotOnMedics is part of the HCI family. We have been supporting healthcare professionals in their work for years.
HCI includes (in addition to SpotOnMedics) several other well-known parties, such as Incura, FysioRoadmap, Evry, Podofile and other EHRs. Each of these systems focuses on a specific discipline within paramedics. In addition, Uw Zorg Online (PGO), Embloom (e-health) and HCI CRS (specialist EPD for mental health and youth care) part of HCI.
With HCI One, we build on that experience: a single, modern, multidisciplinary EHR that combines the strengths of these solutions and simplifies collaboration within paramedical care.
4. Why are we introducing HCI One now?
Healthcare is changing rapidly. Collaboration between disciplines is increasing, and digital demands (and opportunities, such as AI) are growing.
With HCI One, we're combining our knowledge, technology, and development capacity to innovate faster and better support healthcare providers, both now and in the future. With the combined strength of all our EHRs, we're building a future-proof platform that's ready for the latest developments in healthcare.
5. What are the key benefits of HCI One?
HCI One combines the best functionalities of our existing EHRs (such as SpotOnMedics, Incura, FysioRoadmap en Evry) in a single, modern platform. HCI One is being built in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
This makes your work easier, more organized, and more efficient. You work in a single environment for administration, record keeping, planning, and communication. Smart workflows, supported by smart technology, take care of repetitive tasks, leaving you more time for what truly matters: caring for your patients.
With years of experience and a product and development team of more than 40 colleagues, we can rapidly develop and continuously add new, valuable functionalities to HCI One.
6. Is HCI One a completely new system?
Yes and no. HCI One is technically built on the modern (web-based) platform of FysioRoadmap, with the addition of the best features from our other EHRs.
We incorporate the best of each system, making it feel familiar to use. At the same time, you benefit from the advantages of a modern, web-based environment with a clear interface that is continuously developed and already used by hundreds of practices.
7. What does HCI One mean for me as a SpotOnMedics user?
Nothing will change for you now. You'll continue to work with your familiar SpotOnMedics environment, with the same features and support.
HCI One is the next step for the future. When HCI One is a good fit for your practice's needs, you can choose if and when you want to use it. There's no obligation, no hard deadline, and no pressure.
In the coming period, we'll guide you step by step through what HCI One can do for your practice, for example, through newsletters, webinars, and other information. If you eventually decide to use HCI One, we'll carefully guide you through the process with clear explanations.
8. Am I required to use HCI One?
At HCI, we believe it's important that practices decide for themselves when they'll start using HCI One. This happens in phases and through consultation, ensuring peace of mind and trust. No pressure, no deadlines. We grow together, at a pace that suits your practice.
9. How secure is HCI One?
Data security is a top priority. HCI One is developed according to the strictest standards (GDPR, ISO 27001, and NEN 7510) and runs in secure Dutch data centers.
All data is stored and processed encrypted. This way, you can work with peace of mind, knowing that privacy, security, and backups are well taken care of.
10. How is HCI One developed?
Based on our years of experience with various EHRs, we are developing HCI One together with healthcare professionals to make it the software your practice needs for the future.
Through user panels, pilots, and our community, practices actively contribute ideas for new features and improvements. This feedback largely determines our development direction.
Together with over 40 product and development colleagues from our various EHRs, we're translating that feedback into concrete improvements within HCI One. This creates a platform that wasn't conceived behind a desk, but shaped in practice.
11. Will HCI One be reliable and stable?
The platform is designed to be efficient, stable, and scalable, with a vision for the future. Hundreds of practices are already using the platform. Performance is continuously monitored and scaled as needed, ensuring continued stability, even as growth continues.
12. When will HCI One be available for physiotherapy?
The introduction of HCI One will be carried out step by step per discipline.
HCI One will be available to SpotOnMedics users starting July 1, 2026. Until then, your physiotherapy practice can continue using SpotOnMedics as usual. You can also continue using SpotOnMedics afterward.
You will be informed well in advance about what HCI One offers and how you can start using HCI One (when the time feels right for your practice).
13. What happens to my current data if I start using HCI One?
Your data will be stored securely. If your practice chooses to use HCI One, we'll ensure the relevant data is transferred correctly, so you can continue working with it in HCI One.
We do this with clear explanations and appropriate support, so that you know where you stand.
14. Will the current connections also be included in HCI One?
Yes. In HCI One, we ensure that all commonly used connections remain available, so you can continue working with the systems and partners you currently use.
We also investigate each integration to see if it can be improved or expanded. Because HCI One is a modern, central platform, we can develop integrations more quickly in the future and add new integrations when they are valuable for your practice.
15. Can I continue using SpotOnMedics?
Yes. As long as your practice uses SpotOnMedics, SpotOnMedics will remain fully supported.
We'll continue performing legal updates, maintenance, and security adjustments. So you can continue working in SpotOnMedics with peace of mind, even if you're not (yet) using HCI One. However, innovative developments will take place on the HCI One platform.
16. How do you know these plans will work?
We understand this concern. In recent years, SpotOnMedics has experienced insufficient development, partly because the current EHR is less scalable and runs on older technology. The recent billing module has made this even more apparent, and we realize this has impacted confidence in new developments.
In recent years, HCI has invested heavily in quality, development processes, and testing capacity. This allows us to develop more stably and reliably.
By choosing a stable (and proven) basis and combining the best functionalities of our existing EPDs, we, together with more than 40 product and development colleagues, ensure a stable and powerful EPD for our customers: HCI One
17. What is the future vision for HCI One?
With HCI One, we're building a single, powerful platform for all paramedical care providers. A system that grows with the practice, adapts to new technologies, and reduces administrative burden.
The platform supports both independent professionals and multidisciplinary practices and chains. Everyone works in the same user-friendly environment, with room for specific functionalities per discipline or area of expertise.
Our goal: software that works for healthcare providers: simple, reliable, and future-proof. Your practice, our software.
